Looking for a guard dog for chickens.

We have a shepherd lab mix huge dog 130 pounds trained him well and we just got our chickens last year and our Dog

is 7. It's all about how you raise them

I got a pitbull, he's on a raw meat diet lol eats raw chicken all the time, and still won't hurt a live bird.

Eating raw has nothing to do with prey drive. Unless he's actually caught and eaten a chicken, he won't correlate what you feed him with the live birds. My dogs both have prey drive through the roof, and they would even if they ate kibble.

Quite a number of people say otherwise, I just state my dog as a fact to try to dispel the myth. Raw feeding is so much better for dogs.

All my dogs eat raw meats and they get all my culls here, none of them kill chickens and i have a dozen dogs here.
