Have you seen me before?

I say shoot for 140 and you may find yourself comfortable in that body.

I was there about two years ago...and no I wasn't.

I am very small boned and narrow-waisted. Actually, at 140 lbs, I had a doctor pat me on my thigh (when I was sitting on the bed in the check-up room) and tell me I needed to get into shape.

If I were to work out and be in 100% tip-top shape (6-pack abs and all!), I'd be about 105-110 lbs! But, I'm not gonna be walking around the beach in a bikini, so a healthy weight of 120-130 is fine with me.

Really, the number doesn't matter as long as I am in shape...I just happen to know the number for my body when I am in shape.

I keep forgetting that you are not a seasoned hen, but a little chick.

I'll join. I actually started in October. I've lost 14 pounds so far by running on the treadmill, five days a week. I'd like to loose another 45 pounds. And I'm not on a diet, either. I felt like I'd changed my eating habits for the better over the past few years and am doing good in that respect -- I just needed to excercise! I can't wait for spring so I can see how many miles I can do on the road. It always seems like I run/walk a longer distance on the road than I do on the treadmill. And I am just excited because I've usually given up after the first two or three weeks, but I'm still going strong!

I'd love to be able to run but it's rough on some knee/back injuries I've had. I hope to maybe find a really good pair of shoes though that might help alleviate some of the stress/strain of running so I can try my hand at it. I'd love to be able to run in a marathon.

Congrats on losing 14 lbs so far!!!!!! Maybe I ought to add total number of lbs and counting..hmm...

Thanks! And you should add them up! I do need an insert in my running shoes. I'm flat footed so it does bother me without the arch support. Fortunately I don't need the expensive ones from the doctor. I can get away with the ones that our local specialty shoe store carries. They specialize in orthodic shoes and such. I don't weigh myself all the time or anything. About once every two weeks or so. Good luck to you to!
