Looking for All Flock Feed

Do they sell it in pellet form? There’s more wasted feed with crumble.

Tractor Supply sells an all flock feed made by Nutrena, and it's a small pellet, which is good for the smaller birds.

So to recap: starter/grower feed until 16 weeks old, 16 weeks and on All Flock feed with oyster shell.

I will look into it. That sounds good since the bantams are smaller.

I bought it for my Call drake.

I think I will go with Nutrena All Flock but I’ll make my final decision at the feed store. Thanks for all the help guys!

That Purina allflock is pricey. You're paying more for name than feed. All an all flock is is a feed that any poultry can eat. The labels for feed have more to do with making it simple for the consumer than actually educating what the birds would thrive on. Take meat bird feed, most have in the back of mind "I don't have meat birds so don't want to bulk them up too much." or with Turkey/Game bird feed folks are saying to themselves "I don't have turkeys and what the heck is a game bird?"

There is no exoctic ingredient in the various feeds. I will admit some meat bird feeds have higher fiber and fat but not all do. All these feeds have the vitamin and basic nutrient levels all the poultry need. Read the labels and it comes down to the ingredients used you prefer and that the calcium is not at the high layer feed percentage. Other than that it's what protien level you want for your birds and what form of feed you want it in.

I use crumble form for the entire flock as soon as chicks hatch in spring. When the youngest batch reaches 10 weeks the entire flock moves over to pellet form. Year round the layers are free choice oyster shell. The all flock type feed in crumble form used is non medicated starter/grower- 20% protein, 1% calcium. The all flock pellet form feed I use is turkey/gamebird finisher- 20% protein, 1% calcium.Both of these feeds are from the same mill and if you look at ingredients and nutritional analysis you'd know it varies by what the source prices are (source ingredients change by price) but the two feeds are identical, labeled for different poultry and in different form is the only difference.
