I finally got mine painted this week and used some leftover white latex. That protects the wood somewhat but I too want to decorate it. So I am reading these posts and gathering ideas as well. With my natural twisted sense of humor it won't be anything normal.... still contemplating just what exactly though.:-D

The original plan was to paint white with brown trim to match the house.....boring.......and since this gray wasnt very pretty......I had to "spice" it up.

I have a lighter purple I tried on the people door....I may change to that....the other is quite "wild".

Opinions anyone?

Falling down laughing over "The Eggplant". It took me a minute to get it, I was over here thinking "Eggplants aren't teal blue, why did they name it that?".

Re coop color, ours is cream colored with forest green trim. Sorry, I know it's boring, but it matches (sort of) our house & outbuildings.

Thanks, yours is so cute.....still not sure of the dark purple...and still have more to paint..Grandaughter is painting the name on the front for me and of course the inside will have to be done.
Surprising Woman....I had planned to have all the Grandkids do this on some rocks around the coop...its a very cute idea..We might just go on the side instead..Love it

I have been painting all the parts of the coop as i build it. thats whats taking so long.
I am using traditional red/white colors.
