How can you sex the bcm chics ?? I actually have 3 hens and a roo and my hens are now laying. So I have incubated there eggs for the past month and I have about 15 that have hatched and more that are pipping today. I don't know how to sex them until they are older. Mine are feathered legged and from the Wade Jeane lines and their eggs are between 5 and 6 . I have never seen an egg that rated an 8-9 in person either. Thanks for any help.

Hey, I finally got a response from our ebay guy. I told him I wanted to drive out and see the hens, here was his response:

I looked at the seller's past sales, and between what they have offered and the seller's name there, this is surely the owners of 'greenfire farms' which is a reputable business I believe. They may be selling extras this way, but I'm not sure I'd accuse them of being a rip off. More investigation is in order though I'd say. this is the link to their farm page...

They carry the same stock as is listed in the eggbid.com history, and the BYC login name is very similar to the eggbid login of this seller, also located in Florida, and the minimum bid is the same as his base prices at the farm.

Perhaps a direct question to Stoneunhenged here on BYC is the best way to resolve this?

Now the guy originally mentioned in this thread with the "faux marans" is another story! A very TALL tale of a story!!!
