Hi im near the Houston area and im looking into getting quails, I really like the tuxedo quail pattern (corturnix quail), but can seem to find any breeders or stores in person, does anyone know any stores or anybody who sells them?
Thanks in advance here’s what the look like View attachment 4230216

You will probably have to order live chicks or hatching eggs.

I used to use Southwest GB, but I think they have sold, so you'll have to search for who sells chicks/eggs.

I do know Myshire is still in business and he sells a lot of quail. @Nabiki and @Kiki may know of other breeders.

I wanted to ask, does raising them even matter? Does it make them more tame or anything, I get that they’ll probably be less scared of me at first but It seems quite hard to find quail chicks in person, definitely will ask my local stores though
Thanks for replying

Quail will never be super tame unless you handle them for hours every day, but how calm they are depends on a lot of factors including their breeding. If you don't want to worry about culling extra males, you might see if you can find adults on your local craigslist.
