We are looking for coturnix quail. I've had chickens for years and now want to get quail. Does anyone have advice on raising quail chicks, housing quail, fruit and vegetables they like and can eat, ect.

Never feed them avocado.
They can be brooder as chicks pretty much the same as chickens, but either get quail waterers or put marbles in the chicken waterer, else they may drown. They aren't the brightest lights in the socket.
Plan to keep one male to a minimum of three females to a max of seven.
Give them a game bird feed. They require a higher protein ration than chickens. If making your own feed remember that, and they are omnivores eating bugs and plants.

Agree, good advice and you'll find a lot of good coturnix quail eggs to buy from breeders on this forum.
