Looking for crested duckling

Hello. I ordered a batch of babies last week and my 11 yr old daughter specifically requested and fell in love with her new baby crested. However, she died and my daughter is heart broke, but I can't order a new batch of crested babies, as the minimum number is 10 or 15, depending on the hatchery. Anyone out there within driving distance of NW Arkansas have any baby crested we could love? I'd be willing to pay or swap for a little runner. Thanks - J Long

Thankyou for the info. However, this particular little ducky got scalped by a cat, through the brooder lid. I'm not looking to breed. She just wanted one.

Did you read the thread? If so then you would know that Crested ducks are severely susceptible to neurological damage, some don't even make it past the first year.

Its also going to be very hard to find just one crested duckling, as most hatcheries sell them in groups to help discourage people from buying one as " Easter gifts" and to help keep them warm during shipment.

Hi! I don't have any available right now, but should have crested anconas available later this spring (I do have a wait list but still adding to it!).

They don't all have neurological issues, in fact, I rarely have issues with the ones I hatch here. And they can live long lives just like any other breed.

yes, that's why I'm not trying to order just one. I was hoping someone in my area might have one to sell/trade.

no, she died because a cat got her through the brooder cage lid.
