Looking for crested duckling

Hi! I don't have any available right now, but should have crested anconas available later this spring (I do have a wait list but still adding to it!).

They don't all have neurological issues, in fact, I rarely have issues with the ones I hatch here. And they can live long lives just like any other breed.

Feel free to message me to chat!
Thankyou, but I can't ship from Maine. I'm not looking for that many. Just one or two to make my daughter happy. I appreciate it,though

I have three generations of crested ducks and have not lost a single one. All three of mine are disturbingly intelligent, have the best personalities, and are the queen bees of the flock. The grandmother crested still does the tidbitting thing to her daughter and is highly protective of her (not that she needs it at two, plus her name is Sassy for a reason). I understand that there is a fatal gene linked to breeding two crested ducks, but from everything that I have read and experienced is that those with the fatal gene die in the shell. I have not seen anything beyond anecdotal evidence that the ducklings or adults have brain damage or health issues. The only thing I have found that may be the start of this theory is that ducks with large crests have more tissue protruding from the skull deformity. This only becomes an issue when that crest is pulled off or damaged, ie a drake pulling on the crest while mating.

I am sorry I don’t have any ducklings to send you. I hope you are able to secure a couple as they are an utter delight.
