Looking for Easter Hatch Buddies!!!

I am on day 19 or 20....went into lockdown on Thursday. But here's the problem, my son got excited and opened the bator last night and took out an egg to candle. eeek. We noticed it smells pretty bad in there. The egg he took out has a crack (my fault from earlier in the week) but the little guy is moving around and this egg doesn't smell at all so we put it back in. Is it supposed to smell in the incubator?

I don't see any pipping and no noise from anyone in there. Is this hatch pretty much a wash between the smell and the opening last night?

You do need to find the bad one bdfore it explodes.

ok so ihad my runner hatch and this little girl hatched a few hours ago! shes from a lavender split egg!!

she looks like a blue color all fluffed out! and shes white under her chin all the way down her belly. and she has light colors on her toes lol SHES A SILKIE MUTT!

My long white egg finallllly zipped! was getting worried... Came out black... with white head feathers... so definitely was WC black polish hen... Now that SHE is fluffing out, she's blue....

Looks like daddy maybe Cuckoo maran or white Jersey Giant. She doesn't have the big lumpy head like other full polish I've seen... She does have puffy cheeks... not feathered feet so not black silkie.... Hmmmm, it's a thinker.

They are all doing so good...

Getting ready to put them in big brooder outside. Where they'll have more room.

Only had 2 not hatch yet...
Don't know what's going on with the calls... sister had 2 out of 20, they all grew and pipped and never finished... She did help two out.
So gotta find out what's going on with her calls. We suspect the feed, we all switched.

okay....I found the smelly egg and took it out. It was not the cracked one. None of the rest of the eggs are making any noise or pipping. Tomorrow is day 21. I can hardly bear the suspense. Are they ever quiet before they start hatching? I'm starting to dream about these eggs. The last one had 3 Cadbury mini eggs inside the egg.

Well, the two pips I had both hatched. No other pips.

Not sure what could have gone wrong.... I do hope a couple more hatch. By the looks of them I have a black silkie and a buff silkie so far!

Just hatched 2 buff silkies and 2 blue splash silkies today. Along with the another 4 silkies at the beginning of the week and other breeds. So far out of this batch white and black are not peeping and I think are a wash out cause one white egg was infertile pretty sure. Really feathery feet on these guys though today!

I cleaned there cage an hour ago and there is food everywhere!
