Looking for Easter Hatch Buddies!!!

Here are some pics of my three broody's!

First one due. Actually due tomorrow but has hatched at least one already. I found a shell outside her nest & heard peeping!

I just checked the hen & there are quite a few egg shells laying around her. I dont like to risk picking them up while the chicks are so young. This hen wants no part of my help right now!

Second one due in three days.

Third one still has 2 weeks to go.

I have 3 polish and 1 silkie egg due to hatch Easter or Monday. One polish already has a pip, so maybe I'll have a baby on Easter! Whatever hatches, I'll post pics )

Congratulations to all! I am happy with my 11 chicks that survived. I still have 3 ducks due to hatch this week

Well, all the chicks that will hatch have hatched. We got 5 Buff Orp chicks, and the one we call Question Mark, because Kandace, who I got them from, only knew that it came from her Barred rock hen, but the father was a mystery. As I previously posted, the possible roos were Buf O, Lav O, and Black Cochin....and this chick has feathers on it's feet, so it's a Barred Rock x Black Cochin. The three eggs from my own flock didn't hatch due to humidity issues on Saturday....had to help the last BO chick out of it's shell, but it seems to be doing fine.
Hope everyone had a great time hatching! I'm all done for now...maybe hatch again next year. We've got a shipment of Spangled Sussex coming from Meyer end of May...still have to get that coop built, but we're converting an old shed into a temporary coop while we build the other one. I'd make the shed a permanent one, but it's in a wet area, so the coop will be in the same place we have them now.

Ok. I've been so busy with the chicks hatching, we helped the last one hatch. She turned out to be a cute little runt. Nine out of 10 is not bad for a 1st hatch. I just love

everyones photos of their baby chicks. Congrats everyone!!
