I want to make it clear that I have very limited experience with pitbulls. I have mentioned this before but it may bear repeating. A good friend of mine had a lovely pitbull. She was friendly, devoted, and playful. Everything you could want in a dog. He also had a four month old Australian shepherd puppy, who, if truth be told, like most puppies his age, could be a bit of a pest. The two dogs seemed to get along and even slept together. One day he left to do some errands. When he came home only the pitbull came to greet him and she was covered with blood. When he went out in the yard he found the puppy, or what was left of him, absolutely shredded. There was blood and body parts everywhere. No one will ever know what set her off. My friend was heartbroken. Not only had he lost his puppy, but in a few days he decided it would be best for all concerned to have the pitbull put down. It has been some time now, but he is still grieving over the loss of his two beloved dogs.i have a pitbull and shes an amazing dog, i also have 14 chickens. Shes kept a few animals off. I don't understand why you have to knock off pitbulls.
