Does anyone know where I can find a few (2 or more) Gingernut Ranger chicks (female only)? I originally found breed info on Omlet.com and have since seen some great youtube videos about them. They're a cross between a Rhode Island Red and a Light Sussex, apparently quite popular in the UK. What interests me is that they're medium sized, good layers, not too broody, generally child and garden friendly, and tolerant of the seasons. Besides that, I think they're cute And it honestly doesn't hurt that my name is Ginger---although that is not what sold me on the breed I'm located in Nashville, TN, where the law just changed, now allowing us to raise a limited number of hens on small urban lots.
