I have had chickens for over 3 years now n occasionally have gotton one with a blood spot in it. That is until about 6-8 weeks ago when all of a sudden I started getting as much as 3-4 out of 12-20 eggs a day with blood spots. Some the entire yolk is full of blood making it 90% red instead of yellow. I have not changed anything food, coop, water, amount of birds per coop etc....... Out of the 30 birds I have laying right now 21 are 7-8 months old and 9 are 2 years old. I seem to b getting more bloody eggs from my young birds than the older ones but all are doing it.
What will all of a sudden cause this to happen and what can I do to try n stop it?
