Looking for HELP with my sick hen

I agree with @KikisGirls In trying the Corid. She is at an age where cocci could hit and she sounds like what mine did when I dealt with cocci. It cant hurt to try the Corid. I would get that started right away. 1 1/2 tsp of the powder to 1 gallon water. Syringe it to her, soak her feed in the Corid water and see if she'll eat that. Id also check her for egg bound.
Thank you!! I haven't even heard of this, but I am running to the feed store now to see if they have it.

You can put ice in her water and the other hen's water to cool it down
I also do that. I make fruit popsicles for my horses, rabbits and hens. Sometimes I just put ice into the waterers in the afternoons when the heat really hits. I give my horses gatorade. Maybe I should try that with the hens.

Ok, so this is all I could find. It's 9.6% oral solution. The feed stores carry it for cattle, so they couldn't advise me on the dosage for chickens.
So, of course I'm a little confused (ok, maybe a lot confused). The directions on the bottle say there are 96mg in every 1ml. and to add 16oz to 100 gals of water. So, that would be .16oz per gallon. Is this the correct dosage for a hen? And what would .16oz be?? The bottle refers to a herd, so do I use less? And how much of this do I feed her?

Hi there!

Did you feel inside her for an egg?
Please read how to here:https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/egg-binding-symptoms-treatment-and-prevention.66978/

Coccidiosis is fairly common and she may suffering from it. You may want to check your farm store to see if they keep Corid in stock. It looks like this:

It wouldn't hurt to try it.

If she is not eating and drinking you may want to start tube feeding her til you can figure out what is making her feel so bad.

I'm not sure if giving her a lot of soaks/baths is a good idea if she isn't eating and drinking. She might get too chilled.

Most all dog vets will test fresh poop if you bring it in for worm loads and Coccidiosis, for very cheap.

This is perfect.
You will want to mix 2 teaspoons of this into a gallon of water and let that be her only water source...actually the whole flock can drink it.
A new batch needs to be made daily.

For the sick girl i would give her one drop of this liquid straight right now and again tomorrow.
Try to get her to drink as much of the mixed water as possible.

It won't work if she isn't drinking it.

GREAT! I am going to mix a gallon of this and give her a dropper full (I have a 1ml syringe- is this enough?), leave a bowl of it in her private run, and pour the rest into my main chicken waterer in the coop. Does this sound right? The 2tsp per gallon is ok for the rest of the flock as a preventative?

Yes it is fine to give the mixture to everyone.

But for her only....Mix 1/2 teaspoon of Corid with 2 teaspoons of water and give her 4 DROPS of this "small batch" a day for 3 days in addition to letting her have access to the 2 teaspoon?Per gallon of water mixture.

Oh wow! Ok. So I give her a strong dose (4 drops of a strong dose)?
I can't thank you enough for your help!!! I'm so sorry to have so many questions. I just don't want to overdose her. I am sure I am overthinking this! lol
