Chirping
I had almost my whole flock knocked out by Sudden Death Syndrome and it left me with only one 4 month old Easter egger. I do not want my remaining hen to get lonely so I am looking for two or three hens to introduce to her. Thanks

Thank you so much for this info I will actually be in the city on Thursday so I will check them out. I do not know what caused the SDS yet but I am calling the Necropsy Lab today to see if they will look at one of my chickens but I am also scared to give them the body as I got very attached and it feel like I would be donating a family members body to science.Do you know what the source/cause of the SDS in your flock was???
You can find chickens for sale on Craig's . You can also cash and carry some live chickens home from "Live poultry Stores" That is where I started getting my chickens from 20+ years ago. You are not far from me,, so I can suggest couple nearby. John's Live poultry. 5955 W Fullerton Ave, Chicago, IL 60639
Chicago Live poultry; 6421 N Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60645
I have dealt with both of these stores. There are others,, but some are further south in the city.
You can also post your request on the Illinois Thread. See what is available in grown chickens there.
