2 of 4 are currently showing development, other 2 probably too shaken in shipping. Hopefully they will make it. I'm sure they will as they are happily swimming as they should be! Now just hope one is a roo!

It's not too bad for a breed you can't find in everyone's backyards. Remember those foundation breeders with the cemani all paid big $ to get them as well, some still do for good stock. I am new to breeding and willing to pay for good birds too. Hopefully be able to provide some for reasonable $ in the future.

My take is this: These are shipped eggs. At best, they are a gamble.
As gambling in general, never bet more than you care to lose.
I have been hatching shipped eggs for years. I had great hatches and I have had 0 hatches. Not only do you pay for the eggs and shipping, you also invest the time eggs take to hatch.
If I spend $75 on a dozen or so shipped eggs and 12 hatch, I feel like I won the Powerball lottery :celebrate, if 1/2 of them hatch, I do the happy dance. If 0 hatch, I chalk it up to chance. Now if only 1 hatches, I become the proud mom of a $75 chick. :jumpy
I would rather spend $100 for one rare live chick than risk $400 on chance.

I totally agree on this, just got a lil extra cash so rolled the dice lol. I'm such a sucker sometimes! Hope to have a pair to show yall by weeks end!

Michigan here... I have 12 eggs going into lockdown next week. I got mine from Greenfire via ebay (which I've had good luck hatching from) but there are other breeders in the U.S that offer Indios that I wouldnt recommend purchasing thier shipped eggs.
