Looking for info on crop impaction w/o graphic pics

I'm still kind of new to chicken diseases and I would like some info on crop impaction without the graphic pics.
I would like to know what it looks like,why it happens, and how to prevent and/or check for it.

If you are referring to sour crop here is a link than caan help you out somewhat... How to Identify and Treat Sour Crop in Chickens | Suite101 It is more common than people want it to be, for sure. I personally use olive oil or canola oil in their drinking water. If they are not drinking then an eyedropper with the oil in it and gently, and not big amounts force her to drink. Crop massaging as well to help work the oil around for easier passage... Good luck... Steve
