I'm looking for good links on "fermented" poultry feed. I need ones that link to studies and has information on the feed to water ratio along with fermentation time.
I have seen and read --
http://www.ajol.info/index.php/ajb/article/viewFile/60378/48610
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19373724

They are a good read but with a feed to water ratio so close to each other at basically a 1:1 ratio (1 pound of feed to 1 pint of water) and not stating a fermentation time I believe there talking more about a poultry feed that seems to be soaked 12-16 hours rather than truly fermented.

I'm having a hard time grasping the idea of fermenting a feed for a animal that naturally ferments its feed with in it's digestive system.
Now I do soak/sour hard to digest, fibrous grains like Oats, BOSS, etc..
