well, we had to move the babies to a brooder box after all. I didn't see any mom or babies when I went out to give them new water and food, so
I looked around and moved the brush. 2 babies were caught between sheet of
plywood and the wood I use to hold their feeding trough off the ground with. We
did catch the other 5 babies and they are in the brooder box in our garage with
a lightbulb for heat. is that needed? Should we catch their mama and clip her
flight feathers and keep her with them for a bit? I'm sick that 2 of them died.
My heart just sank...my 13 yr old DD helped with it all and is burying those 2
babies now. We named the last baby found Hope as it had run into the same spot
to hide but he found her (him?) in time.So the 6 are together, but I need to
know what is better- leave them alone or put mom with them?
