I found dogs marauding through my ranging pullets (3-5 mos.) last evening at dusk. Some of the birds had already gone to roost in the house and were saved, but they still killed eight beautiful birds (6 confirmed and 2 MIA.) I lost a black Maran, several Amberlinks, Little Susie, who was a speckled Sussex and had true grit, and a number of fine Welsumers. Soooo sad. I spent all morning locating and mending fence where the dogs got in, and would like to begin to build the flock back up.
