looking for some help

Good morning my name is Chris Howard I live in a small town called Boiling Spring Lakes north Carolina. WE have a group on facebook called BSL Chickens and were working on trying to get the ordinance changed. A few members have been going to the meeting showing support and speaking up during the public comments and we have a hearing on May 7. I was hoping there would be someone that could give me some real solid statements to help prove our case. there has been 2 Meeting in which members of the group submitted local petitions and made statements. One commoners concern was chickens lowering the value of a home. My question is has anyone been successful with this and what can I do to make a good solid statement at the hearing? If a chicken can affect property value a dog or cat should as well. Junky yards affect property values. Just my two cents.
