Looking for some information about my quails

I have had my Japanese quails for over two weeks now all have been eatting and drinking well, and this morning I have come home from work to find a young hen had passed away.
There were 6 hens and 6 males with in a double storey rabbit hutch with a two meter run attached any help and information would be most welcome

Is it extra hot? Could they have over-heated?

She has probably been over mated by one of the males. For Japanese quail you should only have one male with 5-7 females (though this depends on the male as some are extra aggressive and some are very sweet). You should set up one male with the rest of the females, and put the other males in a bachelor cage. Hope that helps.
