I went to the Sano Goat and Poultry Auction Friday night. They sold alot of chickens, some peafowl, some turkey and various pigeons/doves. They went for as little as $3 each and up. Baby calves where just about given away. Like $3 each. I fought the temptation to throw my hand up because I didnt need anything. The only thing about it is that you know nothing about any of them.
The auction house is in the middle of no where in a community called Sano. It is right outside of Russell Springs and Columbia.

There is a big swap in Lucasville ohio in the spring. My friend said it is the biggest in the spring. They also have 2 other swaps later in the year but it is not as big my friend said. just be careful 2 of my friends and me got birds that have avian narcist carcinoma, that is as close of the spelling I could get. But when hatching eggs it is passed onto the babies. The birds will have tumors all over body any bird coming in contact with it will be a carrier if they do not become sympotmatic. The merek vaccination is used to help babies from contracting it.

I've been to the Lucasville swap. It is huge !!!! And they have everyhing from regular flea market junk, to live foxes, baby squirrels, miniature cows, and of course chickens!
