Last week I came across this site and saved it, but it is gone now!
My egg is peeping inside, and I need to know when it should start exiting the shell. You see I work out of town, and must leave tomorrow for the next 4 days. I just tapped my 19 day old egg and it peeped! My husband will be home after work tomorrow, but the last little fellow was shrink wrapped. We just have one incubator, and 10 eggs each a day apart. I saved the last little one, but HD will be busy around the farm when he is home!
Can anyone be an egg-sitter for me for the next 4 days? If I had the $ I would buy another incubator and take him with me! But I don't.
Q: How long after they peep, do they exit? and where is this all important site for saving?
*************Help, asap************

Well, eggs hatch after 21 days, so technically, if this is day 19, your eggs are due to hatch Saturday. Since it's peeping, it sounds like it has internally pipped. If you haven't already, you need to lock your eggs down, stop turning them, and boost the humidity in the incubator. Usually after internal pip it take 6-24 hours until they pip externally, and after that usually up to 24 hours before they start to zip and come out, but it can also happen much faster than that.

Is that ^ the one you are talking about? Your chick doesn't need help yet. Be patient.

If you happen to live in Liberty, Texas, I'll come egg-sit for you. But you have to feed my kids!! HAHAHA!
