Looking for thicker gauge coated hardware cloth

I want to make some wire only temp cages for quails for transport or temporary holding.. with j clips. I want it to be strong and sturdy. 1/2" is great. 1/4" is good too. Everything else I build is wood framed but I want smaller cages without wood.

I just built this but it's 19g and pretty thin. I can't make a wire only cage with this stuff.

I tried looking for rabbit cage wire (used for building wire-only cages), but I couldn't find quite what you wanted. Not much with the PVC coating, plenty that is galvanized.

There's quite a bit of 1/2" by 1" holes, 16 gauge and occasionally heavier, with widths ranging from 18" to 48," but I didn't see anything a wide as 6 feet. A few with 1/2" by 1/2" holes, but again not as wide as you wanted.

Lots more with 1" by 2" holes, which I know are bigger than you want but it does come in heavier gauges. I saw some 12 gauge with that hole size. You might be able to use it to support the cage, and cover it with the lighter hardware cloth to prevent small quail from getting out or predators reaching in. For transport and temporary use, those larger holes might be acceptable for adult quail, as long as you have a different way to keep predators at bay.

Examples of where I found wire like that:

Premade all-wire rabbit cages might also be an option, although they usually have 1" by 2" holes. They can often be purchased from the same places that sell the rolls of wire.

that would be something, I don't think you need it, but it would probably last.
You can take nice photos of your chickens thru black vinyl coated wire whereas the steel galvanized is highly visible and ruins the photo (very unattractive). The vinyl coated lasts longer and doesn't rust so its better all way around lol I added a picture of my rooster taken thru normal hw cloth to demonstrate what it does
