Hello, Melissa, and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
Start working with your dogs as soon as the chicks arrive to train them that they are not toys but family members. That will go a long way towards the dogs learning to be flock guardians.

I will do that. They have to coexist peacefully with our cats and do that quite well, so I am hopeful.
