I am Steve and live in the Florida panhandle. I am so new to having chickens that I don't have any yet. I have family living near me on the same piece of land, and we all eat eggs. I like the idea of not having to go buy them. I am also new to gardening and learning more from my mistakes than from my successes. I have spent 48 years as an aircraft mechanic and am looking to one day soon hang it up and remain at home learning to support my family and myself as much as possible. After looking at all the search engine results on the topic chickens, here I am.
I have helped build a coop before but now want to build one for myself - thinking that a dozen chickens will be enough. However, I know nearly nothing about the successful care and feeding of these backyard birds. I am here to learn how.

Am I correct in assuming that your engine has no fuel heater system?

Fuel is heated by engine heat exchange.
