hi all! I have recently added ducklings to my family on 6/10. While attending a reptile show I learned they were feeding baby ducks to snakes to my horror. I couldn't take it and bought the ducklings and encouraged everyone at the show to do the same. So now I have been learning on the fly exactly what ducks need to be taken care of..which seems to be a lot. I am currently looking for a good home/farm they can go to stay together but in the meantime I have visited local farm to get all of the necessary items to feed and shelter them temporarily. Otherwise I may need help with building a duck house/coop. For now I'm looking for some help definitively identifying my ducks, Axl & Rosie, and hopefully their sex. I believe they are magpie ducklings from what I've learned from this site. Any and all information from other duck owners would be greatly appreciated.

Very cute! Ducks are quite messy but you'll love them anyway. On hot days they love to swim in your tub or kiddy pool!
Thanks! Yes they are certainly messy fortunately I'm home during the summer and am able to care for them..which keeps me very busy cleaning their cage. And yes they do love to swim

Have you posted under the ducks section any of your question? I've posted a couple of questions in a thread that was similar to mine and had a lot of information to browse.

Your ducks are adorable..

Thank you! Yes I believe I did also post a new thread under the correct forum. I have found a lot of information just from reading other people's questions and comments. Thanks so much
