Looking to Buy Laying Hens, TX

it's down in dogtown from what i understand. have you ever been to canton? if not, it's HUGE. but there's one area where people sell animals and it's called dogtown. you can find people selling chickens there. i know the state comes out and inspects the chicken sellers so they should be pretty nice chickens. i hope to go there soon. haven't been to canton in years.

Thanks

Weatherford just recently started a 3rd Monday, held the weekend before the 3rd monday of the month. Its smaller then our first monday but they are able to sell animals and its right when you come into weatherford on the fort worth side off the interstate. They had some pretty good looking birds in april. Running about 12 bucks a hen. its def. worth checking out.

I'll have to go back, I went in March and the turn out was poor. But at the same time I think that was the first 3rd Monday event.

They have a "new 3rd Monday" in Weatherford? Last I heard they could not sell animals there. Did this just start in April? When is the next one? Wow, that is great. Canton is too big for me. I love going to dog alley though.

Weatherford start having 3rd Monday trade days in March. The trade grounds are located outside the city limits, so animals are allowed. I attend the March one, and I'm planning on going back soon to see if it has improved. March was not impressive, but I hear it getting better as the word is getting out about it.

So they hold it at a different location? Where is it? I'm familiar with Weatherford, we only live like 40 minutes from there and go there all the time.

From Poolville, go to weatherford and take 180 east. It's on the right hand side of the road, nearly all the way to HWY 20. Basically right on the edge of the city limits.
