I have two female Indian Runners, hatched 11/19/15, who are both laying eggs, and actually both seem quite broody too. My husband won't let them swim in our pond anymore, because of the total destruction they caused this Spring (they overwhelmed our filter and inadvertently killed the fish). I don't feel like the kiddie pool alternative is enough to make them truly happy. I'll offer them for free, but with conditions:
Must keep both ducks together
Must have an enclosure to keep them safe at night
Must have a pond or other body of water deep enough for them to swim and submerge themselves
I don't really want to say goodbye to them, but I want their quality of life to be as good as it can be. I'm in North Raleigh, but convenient to Durham as well (and will travel to bring them to the ideal family).
Thanks!
