Totally agree. Do you have money for a lawyer to get involved. If it were me and I had the money I would sure hire one to do my bidding so they know you mean business. I don’t understand how their lack of control over their own dog equals your negligence.
Unfortunately no, a lawyer is not really a possibility. My husband, cousins, parents, siblings, friends, and other neighbors are telling me I should just get rid of them and be done with all of this BS. I can't do that, they mean the world to me. I can't just "let them go" because those ignorant people don't realize that domestic ducks CANNOT survive if you just "let them go". Once a domestic, always a domestic. They just dont get it. They're like "theyll learn how to defend themselves eventually" im like..... they'll be killed first or starve to death...or be hunted.... theres so much that could go wrong.

Town has laws against fowl and poultry and rodents indoors...don't even get me started on the trouble my tiny little hamster caused years ago.... :barnie
Wait, what? You can't have a hamster in your house? What kind of a place is this? Stepford? Can you possibly move out of there? It sounds like you have more than just the neighbors to fight.

Unfortunately i have been back and forth with my neighbors and the city for a couple weeks now. I have a place in Rhode Island i could move to but I'm not allowed to have ducks at all there since its part of a condo association. I moved here because of it. Im hoping i can convince my cousin to raise ducks rather than chickens (they plan to get chickens in the spring) and maybe they could take them. I just love these little guys and want them to have the world, not be taken away from it!!!!
Might I suggest asking your cousins to take them for the winter while you fight City Hall? There's a whole section on BYC devoted to chicken (and other fowl) laws, what they are and how to get them changed. It could be a real win/win for everyone. Your cousins get some bird practice, Your ducks get to live. You get to know they're safe. And not having ducks around will fake your neighbors into thinking they've won, while you use the time to pull a totally legal fast one on them! As a bonus, you'll be paving the way for not only bringing your babies home, but allowing others to enjoy their own!
