I have a 10x16 chainlink dog kennel attached to my coop. It's working well, but has definitely been a learning process. I originally didn't have it covered and a hawk got one of my girls. They are also very very good at flying out, so I learned. I then covered it with a tarp, I only planned for it to be temporary, but with the first heavy rain it pulled the sides of the kennel down, and bent some of my top rails, ughhhh. So for the remainder of winter I have another dog kennel panel over part of the top and made a tent with a 10ft 2x4 and a new tarp. I still have to shake the snow off several times a day when it is snowing. I'm planning to do something different and more permanent when spring comes.
My ground is very uneven, I have cinder blocks lining the outside of the run, that part has worked well so far. I will try to take pics when the weather is more cooperative.
