was anyone else more disappointed about Quickbeam not being in the movie then Tom Bombadil not being in the movie? Just me?

I was more disappointed by what the movies added than what they left out, since I understand the time restraints but I literally can’t watch Faramir trying to take away the ring, Gollum tricking Frodo, or elves in Helm’s Deep. Because they just didn’t happen, and they’re not good.

Now the question is.. since all of us here are LOTR fans and assuming Tolkien fans as well... has anyone else read his books besides LOTR and The Hobbit? Example: Children of Hurin, Book of Lost Tales, etc....

i've read Mr. Bliss, The Children of Huren, Beren and Luthein, and The Fall of Gondolin
