Losing down?

hi everyone!!

Aylesbury duckling will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. Noticed this patch of fluffless skin earlier?

Someone mentioned could be losing her baby down ready for feathers, someone else said it could be mites?

Any suggestions

what a cute face. It's pretty natural for ducklings to look naked when they start losing their down, can you see any sign of pin feathers at all? If it mites they would be tiny and blk small like pepper and they move. [fast]

Thank you! I cant see anything and the fluff is quite spikey now. The other doesn't have any bald patches but is definitely thinning and less spikey but spikey non thr less lol
