Losing my flock, help!

For now, back away from deep litter method. Get birds off it and see if health impoves. Sometimes you can get unpleasant organisms (fungi) setting up shop causing condtions not unlike you describe. Some of the toxins produced can cause paralysis.

Thanks again for everyone's input. Leadwolf1 I think you have it nailed down as to what I need to do. I am very sure it's Marek's that is causing this problem. I have contacted the CSU and will be taking the next sick chicken to them for a necropsy to get the bottom of this problem with accuracy.

My next question is about oxine. I had not heard of this prior these discussions. I have done a little bit of research on it and seems "somewhat" safe? The EPA labels it as a milder level of toxicity.
So that I get this right and do it correctly here is what I am understanding: Dilute it to the concentration recommended for the job at hand (assuming it comes with directions on correct dilutions for different purposes), after removing all straw, chickens and their water/food I spray the entire chicken area and coop (I will wear a mask.) I have also read that you do not have to remove the chickens and food/water. I also read that that with the correct dilution some recommend adding it to their water and also fogging the area with the chickens present. Any ideas?

Does anyone know if all brands of oxine are equal? I found it on amazon.com. Also please suggest any recommendations on how to go about this. Not having to remove the chickens would really be great. Otherwise, I am going to have to buy dog crates to put them in.

Thanks in advance, as I am sure you all will give me excellent advice!
