One of my EE young hens lost all of her feathers over three days time. Most of my birds lost many feathers but others are starting to grow back in to keep them warm enough to survive
during the molting process. Could this have been a genetic thing? I isolated her and tried to keep her warm but she stopped eating and drinking and died. She was my first EE and I was very attached to her. thanks for any info.

No, molt is almost always a systematic loss and replacement of feathers. Your little EE had something else going on, I'd venture to guess.
