I wish I wanted a rooster. I just gave one away, the one on my other post where I was trying to find out what he was. Didn't find out what he was but, did give him a new home. Also found out that my ee is a roo from that same post. Right now I have one identical to the one in the pic on other post, two salmon faverolles and ee.

Look at the difference in coloring of the males and females. It is evident from and early age:

(Both groups of pics are of the same hen and roo.)

That is some seriously light, messy, barring. Is it possible this guy (or girl?) is a cuckoo marans (umm....did I spell that wrong???)? I don't know what the leg color, comb, etc. should be, but the barring doesn't look like a Barred Rock to me.

looks like my barred rock hens too, my rooster is very white in his stripes! I also have marans and they are a lot darker compared to my barred rock hens.
