Our rooster was attacked last night and his beak has been torn from his face. I understand that he could survive this injury but probably needs to be fed mushy foods for a while. Please tell me what I need to feed him and do I need to put something on his injury to keep from getting infected?

Can you get pictures? Is there bleeding? Can he ear or drink at all? If he does recover from shock, it will be very difficult for him to figure out how to use his beak. It will also be very painful.

No bleeding and he has been walking around as if everything is fine but I am concerned about feeding him or how he can feed himself

He will not be able to eat without a beak, and he nostrils would be gone. Pictures would really help, but by your description I think it would be kindest to put him down.
So sorry :hugs
No beak and part of his comb is gone as well. I do not want him to suffer so I need to know if I need to put him down.

Without a beak, his tongue has no protection from drying out. His throat will also dry out. There is no way he can live under those circumstances.

You need to post a photo of this injury so we can properly advise you.
Thank you all for your replies and help. We decided to put him down so that he will not suffer. I felt like he would not be able to survive, but wanted to be sure before acting. He was an awesome rooster and protected his flock with his life quite literally.
