Lost my Jack! Updated pic of new pup!

I'm so sorry for your loss of Jack. He sure was a good looking dog.

You could try some of the 'less' toxic anti freezes on the market. While no anti freeze is totally safe there are some that are labeled to be safer. I am so sorry for your loss. I know exactly how you feel. We lost our 7 year old dalmatian the same way. That is why I know about the safer anti freeze.

Wow-what a sad story! I am so sorry for your loss-who would even think about that in our busy everyday lives--it could even happen if someone else visited and was leaking antifreeze. The safer antifreeze is something new I have learned now-even though it was this post that brought it up. Good luck with your new pup-he is a dandy!!!!

Yes, I thought about the "pet safe" antifreeze But I live in the middle of nowhere and town is 17 miles away and pretty small so Prestone and Peak were about my only choices. I don't really drive that truck but my wife and kids will be more careful and let me know if there is anything dripping next time. I really hate we had to loose such a good dog to learn a lesson and I hope somebody else can learn from our loss.

We had someone actually put some of that stuff out with the intent to kill a neighbors dog. He got caught but the dog still died. Bad stuff, but I didn't know it just took that little of an amount.

That can happen so easy. I had a crack in my radiator and it dripped on the garage floor. Granted my cat is 17-18 years old it was around that time her kidney function went to hell. She's still with us. You know you tell people to watch out for that kind of stuff and it goes in one ear and out the other. What I mean is my husband failed to mention it and he should know better but he just doesn't think about those things. So us mommies (as usual) have to be the ones who keep vigilant. I'm so sorry for your loss.

:hugs so sorry for your loss. I had to take my Rosie to the ER vet a few years ago for the same thing. She made it. We caught it in time.
Jack is a good strong name! All the best.
