"down in the Sabine river bottom so I stopped and talked to them. It turned out that one of the older ladies said that my dog had slepped on her sisters back porch for 2 nights but they didn't feed him so he would leave and he did."

Hey Colby, did you find out whereabouts the sister's house is? I can't help but think you've still got a dog out there somewhere, maybe somewhere close to this person's house?

Yes, it is a bronze turkey. I live in a very rual area that really doesn't have anything like animal control or humane society for the 2 counties around me.

chkn,

I did find the house where he was for 2 nights and everybody has my business card now so if they see him again, They will call. I also have an ad on CL and have talket to all the vets and staff in the 2 surrounding counties.

Hey I really hope you find your pup. We had our Maggie (Sheppard/rotti) lost for 1 year before we got her back. Miracle of Miracles, she had been kept by someone who frequented the same coffee shop as we do and we happened to be there on the same day. I was kind of PO'ed that this guy apparently never saw missing dog signs, nor had he posted found dog signs; BUT he did take good care of her. He was reluctant to give her back, but she was surrounded by 3 sobbing children and 3 sobbing grown ups. Anyway, good luck...even if it takes longer than you would hope.

No, I have never found him. We are still looking though. I did get 2 new pups, a now 8 week male and a 6 week female. The boy is solid white and the girl ahs a badger mask. They are both out os working stock. The male has the same sire as my lost dog. My daughter named them Bonnie & Clyde. We won't give up on Mouse though. I have already lot a Tom turkey since Mouse has been gone so I couldn't wait on raising replacements.

I'm so sorry
