Yesterday I got home and noticed that one of my Pilgrim geese were missing. I looked everywhere, including beside the road and couldn't find her. The next thought was that she had been taken. It wouldn't have been easy since all three of the Pilgrims were raising 3 goslings and were rather pissy, but I guess it was a possibility. I called the husband and asked him about her since maybe something had happened to her and he had dealt with it.
He looked around the yard for me this morning while I was at work and FOUND HER! She has a huge hidden nest in the old greenhouse. I guess she had gotten tired of raising somebody else's youngins and decided to hatch her own. Such a relief, but now I will have a bunch of goslings and temperamental geese for a while.
