Lost our first duck yesterday to a Hawk

The remaining 4 girls are doing OK. I let them out in the morning to let them roam the pen under my watch, the locked them back up for the day, I then let them out for a bit in the evening. I'll do that until I can set up the tape and I'm sure they're safer.

I think we lost the only girl that was laying (or she got so upset she stopped)

Your doing the right thing those hawks are relentless in their pursuit of our ducks etc. I sure hope the tape works so far I haven't seen the hawk back here although I have heard one. I have been watching closely.
