Crowing
Definately put a door between the run and coop, just in case something gets into the run, and lock it.

I lost my entire first flock to a weasel. Mourned for a bit and then built a better coop. I think most of us have made mistakes our first time around. I still lose some every now and again. I live next to the woods so we have fox. Each time I get a little smarter.
I used to use those carabiners, but now I use tumbler locks, and I love them! No keys to lose, and all the locks have the same combination. They are perfect for our son who has fine motor skill delays.i'm thinking autolocking carabiners on our latches.
that's a great idea!I used to use those carabiners, but now I use tumbler locks, and I love them! No keys to lose, and all the locks have the same combination. They are perfect for our son who has fine motor skill delays.
Forgot yo add that I wrote the combination on the wall of the coop so anyone watching the girls can open it.that's a great idea!
