This morning my friend called me to let me know that my Silkie, Snowflake, died last night. She has been keeping my chickens for me since we moved and are in the process of building a new coop. Snow has been a favorite with everybody as she loved to be held and cuddled. She was 5 years old and blind in one eye, but was so sweet. Dona said it looked like she just went to sleep and didn't wake up. I will be so glad when 2012 is over! So far this year we've also lost Bella, my filly from a kidney problem, Lady, our english setter from old age, Snowflake's sister Fruit Loop from a attack, and just last sunday Snoopy, my son's dog from Cancer. One thing that Snowflake really enjoyed was Watermelon. Here's apicture of Snow with her favorite treat.
