this may depend on which method and WHO is using said method acutually with a ball bat and a little exsperiance cervical dislocataion is a bit quicker for said animal then shooting I have regularly dispatched animals from coyote size and smaller without firearms for quiet a while now

Maybe... but it makes me feel better to just shoot the blasted things.

I've had [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]opossums tear thru a fence before not much will stop a full grown opossum. What I found that works the best against them is a Blue Healer (probably not the correct spelling) and a 22 cal rifle[/FONT]

Blue Heeler also works great on feral cats too.

Just an update. We have recently trapped 2 more oppossums and relocated them. We have at least one more snooping around that we haven't been able to trap yet. He will be either trapped or shot.

i dont have chickens yet, but i still trap coons and possums and whatever goes into the trap. and a 22 works on all that i catch, except cats. they get a free ride in the truck
