Lots of peeping, AND quite a few chickies. :)

Congrats on the new chickie!!! Also I have learned from experience that if you have to have a wireless keyboard and mouse you might as well go by the rechargable batteries and charger. They are not to bad at walmart and it sure save on the stress level!!! My hubby just thought that they would be great..I am always changing the batteries in the mouse. Drives me crazy... Good luck with the rest of the hatch. I would make the trip to the store a long one and that way you wont get eye strain looking into the bator all day not to mention neck strain too..lol Jenn

Went to the Wal and grabbed a new mouse and batteries for the camera. YAY!! See I can do this

Sooo here are some pics of the only lonely. This guy must have been really excited to get out. All his hatch mates are taking their time. Lots of pips, lots of quiet peeping and quite a bit of egg rocking.

The pics aren't the greatest, didn't want to open the bator and the flash reflects off the plexi, but here they are anyway.

Going to be named either Allulah if a girl or Wayan if a boy, they both mean "first"

Just wanted to add this little chick is all over the bator and seems to be drying off pretty good. Looks good so far. Hopefully she's telling the other chicks to hurry up and hatch!

How cute is that!!!! My first hatched chick would run around like crazy knocking the eggs all over the place. Then crash and take a little nap laying over one of the eggs. Makes me wonder why we worry about not turning them after the 18th day.

Hope you have more by morning, so you can get some rest.

Another one just popped out within the last 20 minutes...can't help it I've been staring at that thing most of the day...and one is zipped and looks about ready to come out. Lots of excitement around here!!! They are both dark...blacks I think or really deep blues. Hard to tell when they are all wet, though.
That little white one is just too much. She's been running around the bator, pecking at other eggs, taking brief little naps before she's off again. So adorable! It's like she's saying, "Hurry up! I want someone to play with!" This is sooo much fun.

One thing that has seemed to help me is to make the room as dark as possible! With my last two (guineas then silkies) it seemed to make a big difference. When the first silkie pipped, I darkened the room and within an hour it was out! 2 more over night, and then they slowed down during the day until it started getting dark again, they were pipped most the day, but just waited until it was dark to come out, started at 3:30am and ended at 7pm. Can't wait to see what you end up with!

I've got 5 now!

4 dark ones...3 are definitely blue

one just hatched minutes ago so won't know until later if it's blue or black, and the little white one.
Sad news, though. Had one completely zip and then just die.

No idea what happened, just sad.

Got 2 more that are just about finished zipping and 3 more that are starting too and one that isn't pipped and I couldn't stand it so I candled it. Still moving, so I'll keep it in the bator. I think my tmps may have been too low throughout the incubation. I kept it at 99.5-100.5, but I have still air. I just wanted to follow my incubator instructions on this first hatch, I don't know maybe some incubator experts can give their input on that temp.

Anyway...some pics.
Again, they're not the greatest...but they are what they are.
