I have been working at getting the settings right on my new camera. I posted yesterday with some of my first pictures. First Thread
I think they are getting better. Let me know what you think! This is very pic heavy
The days are getting much colder, and the chickens refuse to go outside. They have been spending their days pooping on my chairs in the garage converted into a run.
Yes Wendy, I'm talking about YOU.
I'm very surprised with how well all my girls (and guys) are taking the cold. It went down to -20 once so far. January is the coldest month for us.
Harriett enjoying some time with Dylan.
Ruby - RIR
I'd like to say that's snow, but it's dust in the rays of light
Our silkie pullet, Lorraine is 27 weeks old today. Still not ONE egg. Though we do think someone new has started to produce
We got an oval cream coloured egg today from someone in this group! Any guessers?
Marge is starting to get a little bigger in the backside
Jagger is crowing up a storm. Want to see his pathetic crow?
His Pathetic Rooster Crow
Olive needs to join weight watchers for her new years resolution
Lorraine is looking so grown up!
Ruth our drake (yes.. I'm pretty certain Ruth is indeed a he, haven't changed the name.. Probably won't.. There are boys named Ashley, and Ruth is better IMO.) Like Babe Ruth.
Janet the partridge cochin. she is going to be so pretty once she finishes molting!
This is Honey. My favourite (next to Dixie, of course). Honey is a cochin. Mixed between partridge and buff. I love how she pulled a lot of the partridge out of the two colours. She has one really bad eye. I'm pretty sure she is blind in that bad eye, or close to it. She gets around great though. I do have to hoist her to the roosts at night.
How could you ever say NO to a face like that?!
Steve's too busy inspecting McDonalds' vent to pose for a photo
Mabel gives the head hen, Denny, the stink eye as she passes.
A growing man needs a lot of food.
Dott does not like to share
Dixie making sure Koda is not causing any trouble.
He gets the okay.
Look how proud he is to watch his chickens
And his ducks.
Denny's been preening a lot lately since her new feathers are almost all in.
Jagger looks even bigger than yesterday
Will Marge EVER lay?!
Steve is sporting the mullet. Business in the front, party in the back.
McDonalds has finally started squatting again after her bout of broodiness.
Dott is just so darn pretty!
She is starting to get less flighty every day
Anyway. Hope you enjoyed! Feel free to post your own photos!
