Lots of walking

At the moment my goslings are inside in their brooder, they've got enough space to be happy but not really to walk around much so I try get them out to the park regularly, partially to socialise them and get them used to the outdoors before they're moved to their walk in run in my garden but also to get them exercise.

I'm just curious if lots of walking is a good or bad thing for them? On the one hand I want to give them the room to exercise but i've also had a thought that with their tiny little legs that too much walking might cause them problems down the line; I.E Arthiritis or something?

Does anyone have an opinion on this?

Depends on what they are walking on. If asphalt or cement then you could end up with feet problems like bumble foot. If on earth probably okay as long as your not having them run. Just normal walking should be fine but they are pretty young so may tire out pretty quick. I hope your park is free of wild water fowl and loose dogs.

I keep them on the grass Lydia, most people are sensible enough to either have their dogs already on a lead or put them on one once they see the birds, otherwise I just walk them away before dogs become a danger - they only have little legs so they do tire out pretty quick if we walk a long way but that means they fall asleep easily when we get home too

I believe you lol what’s the little ones name? Are you sure it’s getting plenty to eat too? Age difference again?

Little one is called beep beep and the age difference is 10 days, Norb is 4.5 weeks old, I haven't seen them fighting for food so assume they're both eating as much as each other; did you think he was a little small???
