My RIR is generally quiet, but her egg song is by far the loudest and longest. Sometimes she even does it before AND after the egg. I'm like, come on Reba, now that is a little excessive.

However, I live in an urban area and my neighbors said they never hear the chickens when they are inside. So I guess it's not loud enough to really bother anyone.

I didnt check any, because all mine are pretty queit. They only make a noise when laying eggs and its only for about 5 minutes, when they first started laying they didnt even have a egg song. I have a austrolorp, cinnamon queen, buff orp, light brahma and a silver laced wyandotte. If i had to choose the loudest it would be the cinnamon queen.

My Cinnamon queen is super bossy.
When I researched the breeds, these three are uh... rescues? I guess. Kinda...?

Anyway. It's all "cinnamon queens are docile, and sweet. RIRs are assertive" well, head hen is the cinnamon, and bottom of the order is a rir, who they didn't let eat or drink for a while. It's been getting a lot better, and I sneak her worms on the side.
